WRITTEN WALKTHROUGH

Complete the workflow step by step.

01

Prepare the source plan

Use the clearest available architectural or customer plan. Remove unrelated pages and confirm the required floor is readable before upload.

Why this mattersA focused source file improves performance and prevents the exported low-voltage plan from becoming cluttered.

02

Upload the plan

Choose Upload Floor Plan, select the file and wait for the plan preview to appear inside the drawing workspace.

Why this mattersThe uploaded source remains the visual base while A1OSIS devices, labels and routes stay independently editable.

03

Fit and position the drawing

Use Fit Full Plan, then adjust focus until the entire usable drawing area is visible without accidental cropping.

Why this mattersThe full-plan view establishes the reference area used by later zoom and route measurements.

04

Set the real dimensions

Enter the plan width and height shown on the drawing or calibrate against a dimension line or known wall length.

Why this mattersA plan that looks correct but has the wrong scale will produce misleading cable and conduit lengths.

05

Lock in the baseline draft

Save the project before adding icons. Reopen the draft once to confirm the source plan and scale persist.

Why this mattersThis establishes a recoverable clean starting point before design work begins.

COMPLETION CHECK

Confirm the result before moving on.

  • Only the intended floor or site is shown
  • The whole source plan fits the workspace
  • Known measurements match the entered scale
  • Reopened draft retains the uploaded plan
